Twelve Awards Terms And Conditions

“Competition” means The TwelveAward™️ Awards 2024 for Devon, Cornwall & Somerset.

“Organiser” means TwelveNetwork™️ and Victor Williams

“You” means the individual who submits an application, the person nominated or the organisation, company or charity nominated. It is used in the ordinary sense of the word and implies no additional meaning.

“Platform” means the online system that the applicant must use to complete their nominations or receive correspondence from.

“Awards” applies to The TwelveAwards 2024 as described on the website https://www.vicwilliams.net/twelve-awards.

By submitting a nomination or accepting a nomination for the Awards, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

  • Nominations for the Awards must be submitted before the deadline stated end date of the 15th September 2024
  • Applications must be submitted online by following the link at the above website.
  • It is free to apply to all of the Award categories.
  • The business/individual experience will be judged on information relevant to the period between 1st July 2023 and 30th June 2024. Judges may need to visit business premises if required and therefore the business must still be in operation until the date the finalists are drawn.
  • Nominations may be submitted by any individual representing a nominated business or individual to which the nomination relates and the individual who submits the nomination will also become the contact whom all correspondence from the Organiser.
  • After accepting a nomination, the nominee must inform the Organiser immediately of any change of circumstance.
  • Individuals submitting applications on behalf of another business does not need the permission of an individual or business to submit a nomination.
  • Judges may submit nominations but must recuse themselves from the judging if the nomination relates to them or their business.
  • The business or person to which the nomination applies operates ethically and is not involved in an activity that could (or does) bring the Awards, TwelveNetwork or any of the judges disrepute. The Organiser reserve the right not to consider any nomination if this is in doubt and cannot be confirmed.
  • You can apply for more than one category, except where specified within the eligibility criteria, but separate nominations must be completed for each.
  • Nominations will only be considered if they are deemed to meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Nominations will only be considered if submitted via the Platform, completed in full, and do not exceed the maximum word counts.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to move an application into a different category, if deemed more appropriate and should this occur you will be informed.
  • The nominee, company, organisation, etc to which the nomination relates, agrees to be part of any publicity undertaken in association with the Awards and the complimentary companies. You accept and agree that the Organiser may use or publish any photographs, comments or evidence submitted at any stage of the nomination process in any media, waiving any payment rights or inspecting and approving a finished product.
  • You confirm that the copyright and all other publishing rights to all photographers, logos, material or any other related collateral related to the nominee is owned by the nominee or the related company, organisation or company.
  • The Organiser may send you communications via email in relation to the nomination to the Awards e.g. reminders of the deadlines, notification of successful nomination, finalist selection, judging feedback, event invitation, etc.
  • The Organiser may store your contact information within databases to send you marketing communications including newsletters, future events and promotions unrelated to the Award.
  • The Award judges may decline to award winners at any level in some or all categories if in their opinion there are insufficient entries of a winning standard.
  • The prize provided by the Organiser for each winner will be a certificate and a trophy. There is no cash alternative.
  • The Award nominees, finalists and winners may publicise their success indefinitely provided the placing and year are specified in all publicity and materials.
  • Award nominees, finalists and winners may only use the specific logo issued by the Organiser and not modify it in any way, nor use, or adapt for use, any other logo connected with the Organiser.
  • The logo may only be used alongside the location or part of the business that has won an award e.g. a Neurodiversity Advocate.
  • The Organiser will not accept responsibility for nominations delayed or lost as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure.
  • In the event of any dispute regarding the Awards eligibility criteria, nomination forms, judging process, choice of finalists/winners or any other matter relating to the Awards, the decisions of the Organiser and judges shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
