On today’s show, we will be talking about choices and how they impact on your future.
Without becoming overly detailed, most people have a fair grasp on the concept of financial interest and how is works over time. Now you may be asking yourself what does simple or compound interest has to do with personal development, choices and your future?
As it turns out, a huge amount actually.
You see, the choices you make in life have a compounding effect over time. Whether you make good or bad choices, the effects are never in a simple linear form. They are always compounded over time, which means their effect is much greater than you first may assume or think.

One of the most widely held myths is that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. And the idea is that as you get older, you become more set in your ways, habits, thoughts, etc and you become too old to learn new skills or to change and become better today than you were yesterday.
I have heard it so often in business and in life in general that it almost makes me ill just hearing it.
A few years ago I was sitting in a meeting with a client talking about social media and how it can be effectively used in their business to grow into new areas and open their products up to a whole new market space.

It was Roman philosopher and statesman Cicero who said, ‘Gratitude is not the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.’
So what does it mean to be grateful? And what are the benefits to you and me of showing gratitude?
Fortunately, being grateful or showing gratitude is not that bizarre notion that everything is perfect and there are no problems with you, your life or your day.
Being grateful or living a life of gratitude is rather about choosing to focus on the things around you which you appreciate rather than moaning and complaining about all the things which you don’t appreciate.

On today’s show, we will be talking about becoming hungry for a full life, well lived.
When I was growing up, and I know most of you can relate to this, I remember so many occasion when my father or mother would say no to something I wanted in a shop or somewhere I wanted to go, or whatever it was they were saying no to at the time.
I am sure you can probably remember many such occasions from your childhood.
And I remember on many of those occasions thinking, ‘I can’t wait until I am 16 and can leave home and then I can make my own decisions.’ Or ‘I can’t wait until mom gets home. She will say yes.’ Or ‘I can’t wait to have my own money, then I can buy anything I want.’
Later in life, after I had left home and joined the Air Force and of course was now earning my own money, I would think, ‘I can’t wait until I am a corporal, then at least I will earn more and have money to spend.’

I read a quote from an unknown source recently. It said, ‘Face your problems head on and never turn your back on them. Because it isn’t your problems that define you, but how you react to them and recover from them that defines you and makes you who you will become.’
That is powerful stuff if you get it.
You see we all face challenges and have problems. We can’t go through life without them. They are there just as much as oxygen is there. It just is and so are they!
Someone once said problems are like weeds. They grow whether you want them to or not.
However, what we find is so many people run from their problems not realising those problems will always follow them. And as a result never stop running. They run from people they don’t like or people who don’t like them. They run from bad memories or places which bring back memories.
They run from financial issues or relationships.read more
So you and your past! What does it have to do with your future? Does it influence who you are today? What impact does it have on who you will become tomorrow?
Let me begin this discussion with the following:
You are responsible for your life, your thoughts, your feelings, your actions and for the results you get in your life and in your business. You have the ability to stop and change anything you have control over and are responsible for.
